Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate activities in the Minister’s Office and assist the Secretariat on health policies and programs focused on building health system resilience.
  • •Analyze existing health policies, programs, and initiatives in Bhutan to identify strengths, weaknesses, gaps, and improvement areas.
  • •Provide evidence-based recommendations to support policy formulation, modification, and implementation strategies for key health challenges.
  • •Collaborate with stakeholders across the Ministry, government agencies, international organizations, and development partners to align external assistance with national health priorities.
  • •Monitor and evaluate implementation of health policies and programs and prepare reports, briefs, presentations, and other communication materials as required.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: BTN 1,179,508 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in public policy, public health, public administration, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
  • •At least 10 years of experience coordinating multi-stakeholder efforts in health preparedness and implementing public health workplans.
  • •Expertise conducting policy research and data analysis, including aligning external assistance with national health priorities.
  • •Understanding of the Bhutan health system and familiarity with national health priorities and challenges.
  • •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong English drafting abilities for speeches, policy documents, and official correspondence; Dzongkha knowledge is required with other local languages an advantage.
