Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead delivery of complex project and programme work in the flood risk management sector across the project lifecycle.
  • •Manage contract delivery and contract performance, including NEC PSC/ECC under defined roles such as Service Manager or Project Manager.
  • •Provide leadership to develop project teams and lead in challenging, ambiguous environments.
  • •Deliver to client objectives with strong financial management, project controls, contract management, and commercial oversight.
  • •Ensure health, safety, quality, and environmental management while managing multiple workstreams and communicating with senior client representatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Has led or had significant responsibility in project/programme delivery for interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary projects, preferably in flood risk management and environmental sectors, for projects typically between £2m and £15m.
  • •Knowledge and practical experience using the NEC contract management suite, in particular PSC and ECC forms of contract (working as a named Service Manager or Project Manager).
  • •Strong leadership to develop teams and lead others in challenging environments or ambiguity.
  • •Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, building long-term trusted-advisor relationships with clients and partner organisations.
  • •Degree or HND in a management, construction or infrastructure-related subject (or equivalent experience) plus professional affiliation/qualification near-qualified status with APM, ICE, CIWEM, or similar; also project management certification (APM/PRINCE2/MSP) and NEC PM accreditations/qualifications.
