Job Summary

Support production of major rotating hardware by performing chemistry-related testing in the Material Control Laboratory. Own process solution and raw material testing procedures, maintain testing schedules in a manufacturing environment, and ensure quality documentation and conformance through interpretation of specifications and lab manuals. Perform wet chemistry tests, prepare samples, provide accurate lab reports, monitor testing frequency, and partner with Production Operations and Engineering on root cause and corrective actions, using CORE tools and continuous improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities

•Gather samples and perform wet chemistry testing, including titrations, pH readings, and stock loss testing.
•Prepare samples and perform raw material testing using established test methods and techniques.
•Interpret specifications, procedures, and laboratory manuals to determine required testing and verify conformance to requirements.
•Collaborate with Production Operations and Engineering to address process solution issues and support root cause and corrective action for manufacturing-related issues.
•Maintain clear lab reports and records per procedure, monitor testing frequency, and investigate parts/process problems while owning chemistry lab standard work documentation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field with at least 2 years of experience in an aerospace, chemicals, materials, manufacturing operations, quality, or related environment; or a Masters with at least 1 year of experience in a related environment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•Working knowledge of AS9100.
•Knowledge and understanding of root cause investigations, corrective actions, and problem solving.
•Availability for occasional off-shift and weekend coverage based on business needs.
