  • •Prepare Fire Life Safety design and analysis, and support risk management and compliance.
  • •Develop engineering calculations, design drawings, and specifications for mechanical ventilation systems, including pressure loss and attenuator sizing calculations.
  • •Build and use simulation models for SES/IDA Tunnel/FDS and develop 3D CFD simulations (e.g., PyroSim/FDS) to define airflow requirements and smoke management scenarios.
  • •Coordinate multi-discipline teams, vendors, and project audits; identify risks and propose mitigations; provide guidance to entry-level engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • •Registered with Board of Engineer (BEM).
  • •Minimum 10 years’ experience in ventilation design simulation, fire strategies, fire simulation, and smoke movement analysis for Metro/MRT/LRT, rail/road tunnels, and related facilities.
  • •Proficiency in SES (Subway environment simulation), IDA Tunnel, FDS (Fire Dynamics Simulator), PyroSim, Pathfinder or equivalent software, with strong knowledge of mechanical systems and standards.
  • •Strong analytical/problem-solving skills to perform complex calculations/tests, gather and correlate engineering data, and communicate effectively.
