Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the GRC Engineering discipline and architecture for how it works at Plaid.
  • •Build the foundation: pipelines and a codified source of truth for controls, policies, and evidence.
  • •Implement continuous controls monitoring and detection to flag drift and misconfiguration against baseline.
  • •Create dashboards and SQL-driven reporting that turn control and risk data into real-time risk signals and KPIs.
  • •Automate recurring compliance/audit operations and shift compliance left with policy-as-code in CI/CD using AI-assisted workflows.

Key Requirements

  • •Build and operate continuous controls monitoring end to end, including collecting signals, tuning detection logic, alerting, and driving remediation.
  • •Strong Python and SQL experience, including building API/webhook integrations that connect disparate systems.
  • •Hands-on with AWS and cloud-native security controls, including querying cloud, GitHub, and SaaS logs.
  • •Experience with IaC (Terraform) and policy-as-code (OPA/Rego, Sentinel), embedding compliance checks into CI/CD.
  • •Working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001/27701, and NIST CSF/800-53, including mapping controls to evidence across frameworks.
