Key Responsibilities

  • •Demonstrate commitment to WGU’s mission and program goals; act as a professional role model in communication, ethics, and problem-solving.
  • •Provide content-area expertise and maintain current knowledge in nursing education and clinical practice.
  • •Foster student learning through innovative teaching practices and supervise clinical duties in the clinical setting.
  • •Communicate with students and their assigned coaches/preceptors regarding progress and concerns; refer students for remediation as needed.
  • •Conduct in-person and remote methods of student evaluation and ensure timely final review/approval of clinical time.
