Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist Herd Technicians with routine animal care and general farm tasks to ensure animal welfare.
  • •Feed, water, vaccinate, and perform general animal husbandry tasks including basic veterinary procedures.
  • •Move animals and maintain efficient animal flows while keeping barns and areas clean.
  • •Sanitize and wash multiple farm areas using high-pressure equipment and support facility/equipment maintenance.
  • •Process piglets and treat sick animals using prescribed pharmaceuticals, while maintaining accurate production records and following SOPs and welfare policies.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • •Previous livestock handling helpful.
  • •Ability to do hard physical labor in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Strong commitment to teamwork and respectful, approachable behavior.
  • •Must be able to work an average 48-hour work week with weekend, evening, and holiday work, and be on call for emergencies.
