Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and operate ITS and other traffic control devices and take actions based on SOP guidance.
  • •Coordinate incident and roadway concern responses with operational partners.
  • •Enter and maintain database records for incidents, special events, roadway concerns, and call logs.
  • •Assist TDOT with identifying, troubleshooting, documenting device failures, establishing repair priorities, and issuing work orders.
  • •Answer phone inquiries and respond to reports/requests affecting state-owned equipment, infrastructure, or assets as directed by the State.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma.
  • •0-2 years of experience with a TMC type facility and/or traffic management.

  • •Ability to use digital roadway maps and understand roadway elements; must pass a criminal history background check.
