The Solution Architect serves as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, ensuring SUSE’s open-source solutions align with business and technical needs. You’ll work with regional sales and partner teams to drive technical excellence in solution design, support demos/PoCs, collect customer feedback, and influence product strategy to maximise value.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Engage with customers to understand their technical and business needs and build trusted relationships, assessing gaps and tailoring solutions to meet immediate and future requirements.
•Own the technical progression of deals from qualification to closure, leading technical validation, demonstrations, PoCs, objections handling, and ensuring value realization of SUSE solutions.
•Represent the voice of the customer by gathering feedback for Product/Strategy/Engineering to influence feature development and messaging, and manage escalations to maximize product value.
•Collaborate with Field/Specialist Sales, Partners, and Customer Success to create Account Plans that drive solution adoption and customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.
•Contribute to go-to-market strategies with regional sales, and participate in marketing through technical presentations, blogs, and demos.

Key Requirements

•Experience in technical consulting, pre-sales engineering, or solution architecture for enterprise software solutions.
•Practical skills with Linux/open-source software and infrastructure, with cloud and Kubernetes experience.
•Ability to clearly articulate complex technical solutions to diverse audiences up to CXO level.
•Experience creating technical demonstrations and whitepapers to illustrate product value.
•Strong cross-functional collaboration with sales, engineering, and customer success to deliver comprehensive solutions.
