Job Summary

Provide technical leadership and construction engineering inspection support for large bridge projects within AECOM’s CEI team in Georgia. Conduct advanced bridge and roadway inspections, including materials sampling, testing, and contract administration such as field measurements and documentation. Lead and supervise inspection work, maintain comprehensive field records, coordinate with contractors and engineers to resolve issues, and support safety and schedule compliance across Southeast Georgia, North Georgia, and the Atlanta area.

•Conduct advanced bridge and roadway construction inspection, including materials sampling, inspection, and testing
•Support engineers with construction activity management on large, complex bridge projects
•Lead complex inspections and supervise routine inspections performed by lower-level inspectors
•Perform contract administration duties, including field measurements of pay items and required documentation
•Maintain field documentation (daily inspection reports, photographic records, quality assurance logs) and coordinate with contractors and engineers to resolve construction issues

Key Requirements

•High school diploma plus 6 years of experience (or demonstrated equivalency) in bridge/roadway construction inspection and related work
•US citizenship is required for the nature of the work
•Valid US driver’s license is required and candidates must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
•Degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Management (4-year curriculum) plus five years of progressive transportation technician experience is preferred
•Thorough knowledge of bridge/highway specifications and standards, and ability to read bridge plans and related project documents is required
