Job Summary

Support the SCM Department by creating and managing purchase orders, maintaining inventory levels, and coordinating timely delivery of goods and services for Highland Valley Copper. Evaluate bids and quotes, prepare costing sheets, and administer contracting activities for complex projects. Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain, business functions, and suppliers, review invoices with Accounts Payable, and drive strategic sourcing and supply management optimization.

•Create, manage, and track purchase orders accurately and timely using Teck’s ERP system.
•Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock in coordination with warehouse and production teams.
•Assist in evaluating bids, analyzing quotes, and preparing costing sheets for materials and services.
•Administer the contracting life cycle for large-scale/complex projects using commonly practiced and approved industry methods.
•Review invoices for accuracy and work with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies while ensuring purchases comply with company policies and ethical guidelines.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 95,000 - 118,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Minimum 5 years of progressive purchasing experience.
•Completion or enrolment in the Supply Chain Management Professional designation.

•Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
•Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.) and a strong understanding of contract structures, terms, and conditions.
