Key Responsibilities

  • •Write, review, and continuously refine master specification sections (Divisions 01 through 48) to support evolving design standards and R&D needs.
  • •Partner with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil engineers to ensure engineering specs integrate with architectural materials and spatial requirements.
  • •Audit active design standards, identify missing specification sections, and research/develop new standards independently as needed.
  • •Conduct technical and material due diligence by vetting proposed products, finishes, and equipment against durability, cost, sustainability targets, and building codes.
  • •Maintain MasterSpec/SpecLink databases, create quality control checklists for reviewing AOR CD submittals, and incorporate field lessons learned to prevent recurring failures.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5–8+ years writing technical specifications or preparing architectural/engineering contract documents.
  • •Ability to draft and edit both architectural and engineering (MEP/structural) specifications for cohesive delivery.
  • •Strong knowledge of CSI MasterFormat, UniFormat, and SectionFormat structures for corporate facility rollouts.
  • •Proficiency with specifications tools such as BSD SpecLink or MasterSpec.
  • •Experience evaluating material data sheets and standards/building codes (ASTM, ANSI, UL, IBC, NFPA, ADA).
