Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a team of ATM & UTM technologists addressing emerging airspace concepts across ATM, HAPS, UTM, and space-based domains, with AI-based technologies as a key component.
  • •Lead R&D projects within the European SESAR research framework, acting as overall project coordinator, SESAR customer point of contact, internal stakeholder representative, and presence at dissemination events.
  • •Shape and execute R&D activities within international research communities, including technology development in collaborative multinational research programs.
  • •Provide competitive advantage through contributions to technical strategy and business development as part of a multidisciplinary international team.
  • •Foster professional development, performance evaluation, and proactive planning for team and customer needs while operating with full integrity.

Key Requirements

  • •Typically a PhD with relevant academic or industrial experience, or a Master’s degree with strong relevant experience.
  • •Demonstrated expertise in ATM or related operational concepts and technology domains, ideally through contributions to the SESAR research framework or similar initiatives.
  • •Experience applying modelling & simulation to quantify operational benefits and applying AI or advanced optimization techniques within the ATM domain (desirable).
  • •Strong leadership capabilities to build and enhance technical staff and collaborate effectively across a global team.
  • •Experience partnering with universities, government agencies, national labs, and professional organizations within time and budget constraints.
