Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage sourcing across commodities including precision machined components, outside processes, forgings, castings, raw materials, and complex manufactured parts.
  • •Quote out, negotiate, and place purchase orders while ensuring alignment with technical specifications, cost targets, and delivery schedules.
  • •Forecast demand and evaluate supplier capacity to proactively manage purchase orders and support development and production schedules.
  • •Track and drive supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.
  • •Interpret engineering drawings and manage design changes by communicating updates to the supplier base to minimize downtime and reduce lead times.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year of experience in engineering, supply chain, purchasing, contract negotiation, material/production planning, operations management, material cost control, or master production scheduling; or 4+ years of experience in one or more of these areas.
  • •Ability to quote out, negotiate, and place purchase orders for precision-machined mechanical components aligned to technical specs, cost targets, and delivery schedules.
  • •Demonstrated ability to forecast demand, evaluate supplier capacity, and proactively manage purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • •Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to align sourcing with supplier capabilities for manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • •Experience with MRP/ERP systems and managing bill of materials, work orders, and purchase orders (plus forecasting, demand planning, and lead time analysis).
