Direct traffic in construction and/or paving work zones to protect workers and property. Maintain and adjust traffic controls, including signs, barricades, cones, and other devices, using hand, sign, and flag signals. Inform workers and drivers of hazards and detour routes, document traffic violations, and ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, and PPE requirements while performing general laborer duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain traffic controls in all assigned work zones and report problems to supervisors/managers.
•Follow work-zone workflow patterns to ensure proper protocol and traffic requirements.
•Assist with placing, moving, and dismantling signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
•Direct movement of traffic using sign, hand, and flag signals and inform workers/drivers of hazards.
•Ensure a safe work environment and follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations, performing general laborer duties when necessary.
