Job Summary

Lead portfolio management and execution discipline for the Carbon Trading Team’s central carbon books, ensuring carbon commitments, contracts, delivery obligations, registries, inventory, systems, costs, and workflows are accurate and commercially controlled. Own trade lifecycle processes day to day, coordinate across internal functions (Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Risk, Trading Operations), improve controls and auditability, and develop toward selected market-facing commercial activity.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the day-to-day control point for portfolio visibility, trade lifecycle coordination, contract execution, and internal stakeholder alignment for scalable carbon trading execution.
•Maintain consolidated views of carbon positions, commitments, delivery obligations, inventory, transfers, retirements, recharges, and known exposures across central carbon books; support accurate reconciliation across systems and reporting tools.
•Own trade lifecycle processes and define/document/improve controls for trade entry, contract capture, delivery tracking, registry movement, payment, settlement, retirement, and close-out.
•Manage contract execution discipline for carbon-related contracts, confirmations, schedules, delivery notices, amendments, milestones, and counterparty obligations; support term sheets and agreement structure review.
•Lead internal coordination and governance outputs (portfolio updates, reporting packs, approval notes) and support selected external engagement over time.

Key Requirements

•Strong experience in commodity trading operations, commercial execution, trade lifecycle management, portfolio management, contract management, or a related commercial role.
•Good understanding of physical and/or financial trading processes across front office, middle office, and back office.
•Experience supporting or managing commercial agreements, confirmations, contract schedules, transaction documentation, or structured commercial arrangements.
•Strong commercial acumen to understand transaction economics, delivery risk, settlement mechanics, cost impacts, controls, and approval requirements.
•Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead internal coordination across Legal, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Risk, Operations, and commercial teams.
