Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate reusable backend services that expose clean APIs and serve as source of truth for client data and permissions.
  • •Lead migrations retiring legacy integrations (e.g., Salesforce-to-BOS sync) and move complex workflows out of Salesforce into purpose-built platforms.
  • •Design new services with teammates and engineering leaders using the RFC process, and participate in technical discussions and architecture reviews.
  • •Own development and maintenance end-to-end under the “You build it, you own it” philosophy, including monitoring, alerting, observability, and idempotency.
  • •Build production AI for operational chat and workflow triggering by integrating LLMs, and help stand up durable orchestration with Temporal.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years backend software engineering (Senior) or 7+ years with cross-domain architectural impact (Staff), with strong distributed-systems and cloud-native depth.
  • •Experience designing production backend services: data modeling, API design, async patterns, idempotency, and failure modes in microservices.
  • •Source-of-truth systems design skills, including data-contract boundaries and consistency trade-offs.
  • •Fintech or financial services industry experience.
  • •AI literacy, including integrating LLMs into production or readiness to apply RAG, prompt engineering, and model evaluation within data-access boundaries.
