Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the day-to-day activities of the substation department to meet business plan goals and quality standards.
  • •Oversee financial, technical, and staffing performance, including timecard/expense approvals, reporting, resource planning, appraisals, and recommendations.
  • •Apply high-level substation engineering techniques across concept development, preliminary/final design, procurement, construction, and operation to identify improvements.
  • •Develop construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, safety and phasing plans, and coordinate infrastructure layout updates with stakeholders.
  • •Oversee cross-functional teams and deliver technical reports, presentations, and proposal/business development collaboration while staying current on substation practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • •10+ years of relevant post-education experience in an engineering discipline with prior design experience.
  • •Demonstratable experience leading project and/or client teams and growing/maintaining client relationships.
  • •Proficiency in electrical engineering principles and practices, including application to project issues and design/build workflows.
  • •Knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
