Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with establishing and maintaining the DoAM (Typhoon) Safety Management System (SMS), Hazard Management System (HMS), and Error Management System (EMS).
  • •Maintain Safety Management Plan (SMP) requirements and support ongoing periodic review.
  • •Coordinate activities to assess hazardous occurrences and track mitigation via hazard logs and action logs.
  • •Produce routine and ad hoc safety reports, safety statements, and safety case reports as required.
  • •Act as scribe for safety meetings (including Safety Response Group meetings) and champion safety culture initiatives, including stakeholder communications and on-the-job training support.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree (or equivalent) in an aeronautical/engineering subject.
  • •Relevant, practical experience and understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) in a high-hazard industrial sector (e.g., aviation, defence, nuclear).
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of SMS and product safety principles, including practical risk assessment experience.
  • •Good knowledge of international safety management standards and regulations (e.g., EASA, ICAO, GACA, COMAH).
  • •Experience writing safety reports, performing audits, and strong analytical/problem-solving and communication skills.
