Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, test, deploy, and upgrade process data acquisition, automation, and control systems that meet plant needs.
  • •Determine and test availability/quality of data points on assets such as PLCs and industrial computers.
  • •Develop communication routes for plant assets and build Ignition solutions with back-end data (tags/history/databases) and front-end visualizations (Perspective).
  • •Program PLCs to implement automation/data collection using IEC 61131-3 languages and support controls integration projects with OEM/vendor collaboration.
  • •Own setup/configuration and performance improvement of plant vision inspection systems, and troubleshoot and train production, quality, and maintenance personnel.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field.
  • •Knowledge of discrete manufacturing processes (especially plastics).
  • •Experience with SCADA/MES and data historian platforms (Ignition, Wonderware/AVEVA, FactoryTalk).
  • •Ability to create designs in mechanical/electrical CAD tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SolidWorks.
  • •Working knowledge of industrial communications protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, BACnet) and PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
