Job Summary

Lead mold/die capability studies during product design to ensure molds are manufacturable with high quality, efficiency, and low cost. Own mold specifications, validate supplier designs against Philips standards, monitor fabrication milestones, and run mold trials to surface and manage risks. Direct mold adaptations for design changes, release molds for mass production, coordinate new color/resin development, and provide engineering support to purchasing and production teams.

•Lead mold capability studies in the product design phase to ensure manufacturability, quality, efficiency, and cost targets.
•Prepare and define mold specifications, ensuring the design meets manufacturing requirements.
•Verify supplier mold design, monitor mold/die fabrication progress, and ensure milestones are met.
•Organize mold trials to fully test the mold and identify/manage related risks.
•Direct mold adaptation for product design changes and support purchasing/production with engineering guidance to improve efficiency and cost.

Key Requirements

•5–10+ years of mold/die design or fabrication experience.
•Strong knowledge of mold/die design.
•Good knowledge of plastic materials and injection machines (preferred).
•Can write, listen, and speak English well.
•Proficient with tools such as Auto-CAD and Unigraphics/Pro-E; familiar with MS tools like Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project.
