Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct video and phone consultations for nephrology-related conditions and provide individualized treatment and monitoring plans with consultant input.
  • •Assess and manage chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, proteinuria, haematuria, nephrolithiasis, and post-AKI follow-up.
  • •Review laboratory results and imaging remotely, adjust management plans accordingly, and identify red flags requiring urgent in-person assessment or referral.
  • •Provide chronic disease management support including lifestyle, diet, fluid balance, and medication adherence counselling, plus virtual follow-ups.
  • •Adhere to nephrology guidelines and telemedicine regulations, ensure safe prescribing with renal impairment dose adjustments, and participate in virtual audits and quality improvement activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • •Completion of an Internal Medicine residency from an accredited program.
  • •Nephrology training/fellowship (in progress or completed).
  • •Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as Registrar Nephrology.
  • •Strong clinical judgment in CKD and renal pharmacology, with experience or interest in telemedicine-based care.
