Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence for Retail Banking Group relationships, ensuring KYC documentation, risk assessments, and source of funds/source of wealth are complete and substantiated prior to onboarding.
  • •Validate customer risk ratings and ensure proportionate enhanced due diligence for higher-risk relationships, including PEPs, FPEPs, RCAs, and non-residents with complex wealth structures.
  • •Manage periodic KYC refresh reviews and oversee trigger-event reviews for material changes and other financial crime risk indicators to keep customer profiles current and accurate.
  • •Prepare and present management information on onboarding volumes, KYC refreshes, risk ratings, overdue reviews, escalations, and emerging financial crime risk trends across the portfolio.
  • •Provide day-to-day guidance to the due diligence oversight team, coach on KYC/EDD and FCC risk indicators, and coordinate with Relationship Managers, onboarding, FCC, Regulatory, and other stakeholders to resolve gaps.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • •Professional certification in AML/Compliance (e.g., CAMS or ICA) preferred.
  • •7 to 9 years of banking or financial services experience with exposure to retail banking, customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, AML, sanctions, KYC refresh, and high-risk customer reviews.
  • •Experience assessing PEPs, FPEPs, RCAs, high-net-worth individuals, and non-resident customers, including source of wealth/funds reviews.
  • •Proven stakeholder management, team leadership, and management reporting experience.
