Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Lead rock mechanics analysis and design for underground and open pit mining projects across Canada
•Design and evaluate excavation stability, including stopes, shafts, drifts, and slopes
•Deliver advanced geomechanical analyses using numerical modelling and limit equilibrium methods
•Oversee geotechnical investigation programs, structural geology assessments, and data interpretation
•Guide project delivery by developing scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical strategies

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•10–15 years of experience in rock mechanics across underground and open pit mining environments
•Strong expertise in underground excavation design, ground support systems, and site investigations
•Proficiency in numerical modelling tools (e.g., RS2/RS3, FLAC3D, PLAXIS or equivalent)
•Solid understanding of mining methods, ground control practices, and hydro-mechanical interactions
•Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada or eligible for registration
