Key Responsibilities

  • •Own requirements and traceability in Jama Connect, maintaining end-to-end links from system-of-systems to system and to product needs and validation/verification artifacts.
  • •Develop and maintain the Yard Truck SoS functional architecture, ensuring it supports safety analyses (Functional Hazard Analysis and ISO 26262 Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment) and safety-derived requirements.
  • •Allocate and trace system requirements to software, hardware, controls, interfaces, and vehicle elements; assess feature changes and defects for impacts to safety, allocations, and traceability.
  • •Define and mature systems engineering processes and represent program needs in broader governance and tooling discussions, including evaluation of AI-assisted engineering workflows with configuration control.
  • •Lead cross-functional technical reviews, resolve requirement/architecture/interface/ownership issues through influence and judgment, and mentor systems engineers with working-level guidance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical discipline.
  • •7+ years of systems engineering experience integrating software, hardware, sensing, controls, communications, and physical equipment in complex cyber-physical systems.
  • •Experience with requirements development, decomposition, allocation, configuration management, and bidirectional traceability across system hierarchy levels.
  • •Experience building/maintaining functional architectures for interface management, implementation allocation, safety analysis, and verification planning.
  • •Experience coordinating across software, hardware, controls, safety, integration, product, and test organizations to resolve technical issues and assess engineering changes.
