Key Responsibilities

  • •Comply with safety, health, and environmental requirements; participate in safety audits and observations and address issues.
  • •Install, inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems (including sensors, transmitters, controllers, and final control elements).
  • •Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation system issues and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal performance.
  • •Calibrate measurement devices, perform instrumentation repairs, and configure/control control systems to meet process control objectives.
  • •Maintain accurate records, provide reports on instrumentation status, collaborate with engineers and technicians, and provide training and support to others.

Key Requirements

  • •Grade 12 Certificate/N3 with a Higher National qualification in Instrumentation & Control or Instrument Mechanician (NQF5).
  • •3–5 years of instrumentation & control installations and maintenance experience in the mining industry, including problem-solving methodologies.
  • •3 years of maintenance experience on Siemens PLC and AVEVA System Platform automation systems.
  • •PLC & SCADA programming capability.
  • •Valid SA Driver’s Licence and understanding of safety, health, and environmental regulations including risk management and critical control measures.
