Job Summary

Serve as a Maintenance Test Pilot for the MH-47G helicopter, performing Maintenance Test Flights (MTF), Functional Test Flights (FTF), and Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC) on customer aircraft. Conduct testing using ground and in-flight diagnostic equipment, maintain FAA/agency medical and instrument requirements, complete annual flight evaluations, and ensure required Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) tasks are accomplished.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform MTF (Maintenance Test Flight), FTF (Functional Test Flight), and MOC (Maintenance Operational Checks) on customer MH-47G aircraft using ground and in-flight diagnostic test equipment.
•Fly assigned rotary wing helicopters and demonstrate proficient instrument tasks during the annual flight evaluation.
•Complete and maintain initial and annual FAA second class flight physicals and maintain current Agency/FAA second class medical certification.
•Undergo annual flight evaluations conducted by an Instructor Pilot (IP) and Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator (MTFE), qualified in Mission, Type, and Design Series (MDS).
•Ensure required Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) tasks for assigned flight duties are accomplished.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Be qualified in the aircraft MDS and have no less than 1,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command time, including at least 100 hours in the specific MDS/similar aircraft.
•Log at least 50 hours during maintenance test flights on MH-47G aircraft.
•Be a graduate of the AMOC II course and be capable of passing an Agency or FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
•Hold an instrument rating on FAA Commercial Certificates and maintain the required medical and instrument qualifications.
•Be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance (interim required to start) and be a U.S. citizen.
