Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform MTF (Maintenance Test Flight), FTF (Functional Test Flight), and MOC (Maintenance Operational Checks) on customer MH-47G aircraft using ground and in-flight diagnostic test equipment.
  • •Fly assigned rotary wing helicopters and demonstrate proficient instrument tasks during the annual flight evaluation.
  • •Complete and maintain initial and annual FAA second class flight physicals and maintain current Agency/FAA second class medical certification.
  • •Undergo annual flight evaluations conducted by an Instructor Pilot (IP) and Maintenance Test Flight Evaluator (MTFE), qualified in Mission, Type, and Design Series (MDS).
  • •Ensure required Aircrew Training Manual (ATM) tasks for assigned flight duties are accomplished.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Be qualified in the aircraft MDS and have no less than 1,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command time, including at least 100 hours in the specific MDS/similar aircraft.
  • •Log at least 50 hours during maintenance test flights on MH-47G aircraft.
  • •Be a graduate of the AMOC II course and be capable of passing an Agency or FAA Second Class Medical Certificate.
  • •Hold an instrument rating on FAA Commercial Certificates and maintain the required medical and instrument qualifications.
  • •Be able to obtain an Active Secret Clearance (interim required to start) and be a U.S. citizen.
