Key Responsibilities

•Lead the Department in implementing all departmental and organizational strategic plans and ensure adherence to policies.
•Provide advice to the Chief Medical Officer on clinical and professional matters related to the Department.
•Represent the Department at corporate meetings, chair departmental meetings, and attend management meetings as required.
•Review department reports and recommend improvements to clinical services, ensuring implementation across SEHA facilities.
•Support the Chief Medical Officer in responding to requests from the Corporate Team, SEHA, and DOH regulatory bodies.
•Oversee the organization’s performance management system, including peer review and productivity/utilization processes.
•Contribute to workforce planning, recruitment, and appointment of division chiefs and physicians.
•Establish a clear system of communication with medical staff and hold regular meetings with Division Chiefs.
•Oversee budget planning and financial management for the Department.
•Promote a culture of clinical excellence, patient-focused care, and evidence-based practice across the organization.

Key Requirements

•Master's degree
•Qualification from Tier 1 or Tier 2
•Certified proof of yearly CME
