Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate technical project activities independently for spaceflight applications such as star sensors, space robotics, rendezvous & docking missions, and landing missions.
  • •Own development activities for sensors and/or cameras including LiDAR-, star-sensor-, camera systems, and test systems, including algorithmic solutions for challenging customer projects.
  • •Simulate and optimize system components using programming languages/tools such as Python, IDL, and Matlab.
  • •Contribute to product development for future space sensors and to innovative concepts for parts and assemblies.
  • •Ensure adherence to development targets, assigned work packages, and technical product/project documentation; evaluate customer requirements and maintain technical customer communication with internal and external partners.

Key Requirements

  • •Completed degree in aerospace/aeronautical engineering, physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, with interest in diverse technical topics.
  • •Multi-year experience in systems engineering and in test, verification, and qualification of products, ideally in the space domain.
  • •System understanding to analyze and/or simulate opto-electronic sensors, camera designs, and detector technology (VIS and/or S/LWIR).
  • •Experience with image or 3D data simulation and/or related processing (basic knowledge or professional experience).
  • •Strong analytical skills, good communication, teamwork ability, flexibility to respond to changing project needs.
