Job Summary

Join Collins Aerospace HS Marston facility as a Skilled Fabricator/Sheet Metal Worker responsible for mechanical assembly, sheet metal fabrication, and testing of aluminium/steel components. Work on regulated processes, read engineering drawings, meet tight tolerances, and support continuous learning with welding certification training. Onsite role with rotating shifts, contributing to aerospace production for high‑quality, traceable products.

Key Responsibilities

•Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines and perform mechanical assembly and testing through production stages
•Work with the production team to meet project targets and deadlines while maintaining LOT traceability and quality control
•Support ACE activities (5S, TPM, Turnbacks, Clinics) and ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety requirements
•Maintain working environment to company standards, keep area clean and organized, and participate in ongoing training for welding certifications
•Ensure products are manufactured to high tolerances and are ready for welding and final inspections

Key Requirements

•NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or equivalent vocational qualification in fabrication, mechanical or engineering subject (time served considered)
•Proven experience in hand fabrication
•Experience with sheet metal
•Experience working to high tolerance
•Familiarity with precision tools such as verniers, digital calipers or measuring gauges
