Job Summary

Oversee general accounting and financial activities for a client project, including reconciling operational and financial records across systems. Manage internal and external audits (cash, inventory, SOC 1 Type II), supervise accounting staff, and drive process control improvements. Coordinate accounting functions such as reporting, receivables, and payables while ensuring monthly performance measures are met and presenting financial reporting and analysis to clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop accounting standard operating procedures, internal controls, and maintain accounting systems and procedures.
•Direct, monitor, and evaluate accounting activities/processes and supervise accounting staff.
•Oversee weekly payables and customer refunds, and oversee preparation of daily and monthly journal entries.
•Oversee preparation of daily/monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations and manage financial reporting and analysis for the client.
•Oversee internal and external audits (including monthly physical inventory and SOC 1 Type II), and interface with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and auditors.

Salary: USD 105,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or a related field.
•Active CPA license preferred but not required.
•7-10+ years of financial and accounting experience, including leadership overseeing accounting operations in a GAAP-compliant, high-volume transaction environment.
•Experience performing revenue management and process audits (tolling back-office systems preferred).
•Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, confidentiality, and ability to work independently under strict deadlines.
