Tax Counsel - Controversies & SALT

Serve as the primary legal advocate for U.S. federal, state, and foreign tax controversies, leading multi-jurisdiction audits and disputes with a focus on SALT. Develop audit defense strategies, assess litigation risk, coordinate outside counsel, and support IRS examinations and appeals. Advise on state and local tax implications (nexus, apportionment, allocation), perform legal research and drafting, and collaborate across Accounting, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure positions are reflected in returns and financial statements.
