Key Responsibilities

  • •Review static and dynamic load inputs, material properties, test data, and component requirements to set up structural analysis cases.
  • •Produce stress and fatigue analysis with validation methodologies and justified structural margins for propulsion structures, including fracture control for NASA certification standards.
  • •Design and iterate mechanical solutions with design engineers, including creating basic components and supporting trade studies on structural architecture and joint design.
  • •Develop and support hardware test campaigns (coupon/sub-assembly), defining objectives/success criteria and correlating results back into analysis models.

Salary: EUR 62,000 - 88,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of hands-on structural analysis experience for launch vehicles, spacecraft, or space capsules, ideally with liquid propulsion structures and systems exposure.
  • •Strong command of FEA tools (NASTRAN or equivalent) plus solid hand-calculation skills for static and dynamic (vibration, shock, fatigue) load cases.
  • •Familiarity with structural certification standards and processes (e.g., NASA-STD-5001, ECSS) and experience producing analysis reports that withstand formal review.
  • •Working knowledge of CAD environments (CATIA, NX, or equivalent) to review, sketch, and propose mechanical design changes.
  • •Experience supporting or running hardware test campaigns and contributing to anomaly investigations or non-conformance dispositions.
