Job Summary

Build the public voice of Exa by developing leaders’ credible point of view through high-cadence ghostwritten essays, tweets, op-eds, and interview narratives. Own a speaking pipeline (conferences, podcasts, panels), manage press strategy and an agency relationship, and grow social/owned channels with strong editorial cadence. Lead messaging for launches and company moments, and maintain a crisis response playbook with rapid, accurate spokesperson preparation for high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and express founders’ and executives’ public points of view through ghostwritten editorial output and an editorial calendar.
•Own the pipeline for conferences, podcasts, panels, and industry moments, including sourcing, evaluating, securing, prepping, and coaching.
•Lead media strategy and results by managing an external agency, building the in-house function over time, and owning launch and reactive/inbound press.
•Own company social and owned channels editorial cadence, coordinating employee engagement to amplify company socials.
•Create and maintain narrative and response plans for major company moments and crises, including playbooks, escalation paths, holding statements, and rapid spokesperson prep.

Salary: USD 200,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years in communications, PR, or editorial roles, including experience inside a high-growth technology company.
•Exceptional ghostwriting skill with samples written for someone else’s byline (with permission).
•Proven track record growing an executive’s public profile and social followers with evidence of what drove results.
•Real press results in technology or enterprise media, plus experience securing speaking placements and prepping speakers.
•Experience managing an agency effectively (setting the brief, holding results, and overriding when needed) plus sound judgment under pressure.
