Key Responsibilities

•NEPA & Regulatory Support: Assists clients and project managers in the development and review of NEPA documents including CE, EA, and EIS for transportation planning and permitting projects.
•Technical Writing & Authoring: Supports the preparation of technical reports on biological resources, hazardous materials, land use, and socioeconomics.
•GIS Analysis & Mapping: Collects technical data, conducts analysis, and prepares reports and maps on land use and the natural environment.
•Permitting & Compliance: Assists in developing environmental permit packages and mitigation plans, ensuring interpretation of applicable codes and regulations.
•Task Management: Facilitates status meetings, milestone check-ins, and coordination with internal teams and sub-consultants.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 70,000 - 80,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, biology, ecology, natural resources management, or a related field.
•2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in environmental planning or transportation planning with state and local transportation agencies.
•Valid Driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites and safely operate a vehicle.
•US Citizenship is required.
•Preferred: 4+ years of relevant experience in environmental planning or transportation planning.
