Job Summary

Own the strategy and day-to-day evolution of a finance accounting platform that records, processes, and reports Airbnb’s end-to-end financial lifecycle across products. Drive a scalable roadmap, prioritize a high-volume platform funnel, and translate product changes into reliable accounting workflows feeding Oracle FAH/GL. Partner with Product, Finance, Data Engineering, and Oracle Applications teams to strengthen monitoring controls, support month-end close, and improve accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

•Strategically and operationally own the finance accounting platform, shaping how it evolves to support Airbnb’s growing product portfolio.
•Define and drive the long-term roadmap, prioritize competing requests in a high-volume platform funnel, and optimize platform performance and reliability.
•Lead end-to-end accounting workflow efforts for new or evolving products, from accounting impact assessment and solution design through UAT, release coordination, and production normalization.
•Define and refine data pipeline monitoring controls, support month-end close processes, and automate manual operational workflows with Finance stakeholders.
•Collaborate across Product, Finance, Data Engineering, and Oracle Applications teams to validate financial data accuracy and resolve control gaps affecting the close cycle.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 179,000 - 207,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Subject matter expert in accounting principles, including ASC 606 revenue recognition, and able to apply standards in complex, multi-product digital marketplace environments.
•Proven experience implementing end-to-end accounting workflows across quote-to-cash cycles, including reporting and reconciliation.
•Solid SQL skills with experience working with large, complex datasets and troubleshooting data anomalies at scale.
•Strong understanding of big data principles and transactional data characteristics (event-driven structures, ACID properties, audit trail/lineage, multi-currency and multi-entity handling).
•6+ years in platform management, product management, or technical program management with a finance and accounting data focus, owning a multi-stakeholder platform roadmap.
•Hands-on experience working with Oracle FAH, General Ledger, or equivalent ERP platforms.
•Ability to engage with technical design documents and align with engineering teams on implementation specifications.
