Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and own the systems that power Voice AI and Text AI agents across voice calls, SMS, and email touchpoints.
  • •Craft system-level prompts to shape agent behavior, reliability, and outcomes.
  • •Develop tool-calling integrations so agents can take reliable, safe real-world actions (e.g., booking appointments and customer data lookup).
  • •Build LLM-as-a-judge evaluations and AI observability (telemetry, traces, and quality dashboards) to measure performance and catch regressions.
  • •Partner with product and design and apply engineering best practices including code review, automated testing, CI/CD, progressive delivery, and technical documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Hands-on experience building with LLMs in production, including prompt engineering, tool/function calling, evaluation frameworks, or agent orchestration.
  • •Backend experience in one or more of Elixir, Go, Python, or a comparable server-side language.
  • •Ability to work across the stack, from data model and LLM/agent logic to APIs and UI when needed.
  • •A track record of leading projects from spec to launch alongside multiple contributors.
  • •Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
