Job Summary

Join the Red Hat IT OpenShift team as an Associate SRE to design, build, and operate large-scale OpenShift platforms (on-prem and cloud) in a hybrid setup. You’ll automate infrastructure, reduce toil, develop Kubernetes/OpenShift tooling, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while supporting a blameless, collaborative culture with on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and manage our large-scale infrastructure and platform services across public cloud, private cloud, and datacenter environments
•Automate cloud infrastructure with scripting (Python and Go) and implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, DataDog)
•Design, develop, and become expert in Red Hat OpenShift offerings and related technologies
•Build and support standardized CI/CD platform components using OpenShift Pipelines, Tekton, and GitLab to enable multiple deployments
•Apply Infrastructure as Code with GitOps using ArgoCD for declarative platform management

Key Requirements

•2+ years of experience operating production services on Kubernetes/OpenShift
•2+ years of programming experience in Python and Go
•1+ years of experience using cloud providers and technologies (e.g., Google, Azure, AWS)
•Solid understanding of Linux systems administration (RHEL/Fedora preferred)
•Understanding of standard networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/TLS) and LDAP authentication
