Job Summary

Senior Solutions Architect for Databricks UKI who combines pre-sales technical expertise with data and AI strategy to design end-to-end Lakehouse-based solutions for large Retail/CPG customers. You will lead engagements across UK&I, coach junior architects, influence stakeholders, and develop customer-facing collateral and workshops, leveraging Generative AI concepts, PoCs, and cloud platforms to demonstrate business value.

Key Responsibilities

•Engage with some of Databricks’s largest and most complex customers across the UK&I, defining their technical strategies and supporting them in adopting Databricks to achieve business objectives.
•Collaborate with Databricks leadership, account teams and field engineers to define and execute customer engagement strategies.
•Demonstrate Builder Culture and use the latest AI tooling to inspire customers and internal teams with the art of the possible.
•Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use-case prioritisation and building technical champions.
•Influence stakeholders across organizational levels through complex engagements with cloud ecosystems and third-party applications.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Hands-on experience in technical pre-sales or consultancy with a strong data science/AI background (traditional ML, DL, AI, or Generative AI).
•Ability to architect end-to-end Data & AI solutions, with Generative AI concepts (fine-tuning, RAG, MLOps for LLMs) and tools such as Dataiku, Domino, DataRobot.
•Hands-on experience with AI development tooling (Genie Code, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).
•Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with knowledge of Spark, and experience with big data analytics on public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
•Proven ability to design and deliver complex PoCs and engage across the full pre-sales lifecycle with customers and executives.
