Key Responsibilities

  • •Sustain day-to-day production performance for module efficiency, quality, and reliability within defined SPC limits.
  • •Define problems and collaborate cross-functionally and with satellite sites for process issue characterization, short-term containment, and long-term prevention.
  • •Design statistical experiments and analyze data to drive improvements and recommendations for process engineering.
  • •Interpret results from material, physical, and electrical failure analysis and compositional analysis measurements.
  • •Support technology start-up, transfer, and ramp activities; develop and maintain process control plans; and provide training to engineering technicians and production associates.

Salary: USD 68,800 - 98,050 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline plus 3+ years of First Solar technical experience, or 6+ years of manufacturing technical work experience.
  • •Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in engineering or a similar technical discipline (no experience required; technical experience in combination with a degree is preferred).
  • •Experience/credentials that qualify in lieu of degree requirements, including First Solar maintenance/technical roles or relevant journeyman certification plus years of industry experience.
  • •Background in semiconductor or PV/electronic process technology or material science and device physics.
  • •Demonstrated statistical data analysis skills and experience using statistical software (JMP and SAS preferred).
