Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute efficient, cost-effective purchasing of food, beverage, general, and operating equipment for IKEA FOOD.
  • •Liaise with IKEA Food Manager and Kitchen Production Manager to secure F&B requirements, provide alternatives and economical order quantities, and set par stock levels.
  • •Ensure adherence to operating standards across purchasing, receiving, store, and goods issuing; scrutinize receiving for safety measures.
  • •Maintain vendor performance documentation, conduct vendor inspections with Health & Safety and culinary leadership, and ensure three-quotation comparison for quality and price.
  • •Process and document supplier requisitions in NAVISON, run monthly stock takes and discrepancy reports, and coordinate invoice postings and KPI/P&L analysis.

Key Requirements

  • •High school degree or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, finance, or related field preferred.
  • •3-5 years of successful food purchasing experience from food trading, food retailing, or hotel and restaurant industries.
  • •Ability to perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted, plus bending, standing, climbing, and walking consistently.
  • •Familiarity with global food certifications and sustainable sourcing practices.
  • •Advanced computer skills and strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
