Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform machining tasks using the correct equipment, accessories, and tools.
  • •Read and interpret drawings and machining symbols; execute alignment and machining with high quality standards.
  • •Operate machine tools for reconstruction and manufacturing of industrial machinery parts.
  • •Operate portable bore welder equipment for reconstruction of component housings on mining equipment.
  • •Conduct inspections of tools and equipment, complete technical records, and communicate work order updates and delays to supervisors.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in machining equipment used in earth-moving machinery for construction/civil works.
  • •Strong ability to read plans and machining symbols, and understand alignments, adjustments, and tolerances.
  • •Knowledge of machining equipment and portable tools, including hydraulic/electric machining, magnetic drilling, angle grinding, motor tool, and oxi-acetylene cutting equipment.
  • •Undamaged/controlled quality knowledge, including SMAW and FCAW welding processes and ability to execute welding positions 1G and 2G (FCAW).
  • •License to drive and ability to perform mathematical calculations used in the trade (decimals, fractions) plus measurement using analog/digital instruments.
