Job Summary

Lead IT, security, and operational audits for Mastercard’s Internal Audit team, performing risk assessments, defining audit scope, and identifying control gaps and compliance issues. Develop and communicate actionable findings for senior management, track remediation plans, and provide risk/control education. Partner with global stakeholders and other control functions to strengthen governance and the three lines of defense model, based in Pune with up to 10% travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Plan and execute IT, security, and operational audits across business lines, including risk assessment and determining audit scope.
•Identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities and evaluate compliance with operational, legal, regulatory, and IT policies and procedures.
•Develop and communicate value-added audit findings and reports that drive clarity and action for senior management.
•Consult with management to define resolution action items, and track and monitor management action plans to ensure sustainable remediation.
•Conduct risk assessments and business monitoring, provide risk and control advice/education, and deputize in key audit meetings and stakeholder forums.

Key Requirements

•Ability to quickly understand and critically analyze complex IT processes, assess risks, and determine whether risks are appropriately mitigated using techniques like root cause and data analysis.
•Demonstrated experience with internal/external IT audit or related risk management experience in operations or IT within a major global organization.
•Bachelor’s degree with concentration in information systems, information technology, computer science, or engineering; advanced degree required (e.g., CISSP, CISA).
•Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
•Ability to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget; continuous improvement mindset, including travel up to 10%.
