Job Summary

Provide pediatric care for ambulatory and hospitalized patients from birth to 12 years, including evaluation, examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Order laboratory tests and x-rays, prescribe nursing and dietary care, and apply preventive measures. Serve as a pediatric consultant to Surgery and OB/Gyn and provide pediatric specialist support to other medical services. Maintain current clinical knowledge through journals and training, and provide on-call emergency coverage.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform the professional duties of a pediatrician in the Pediatric Outpatient Clinic, evaluating patients daily.
•Conduct general or special examinations and procedures across pediatrics; order laboratory examinations and x-rays to determine diagnoses.
•Prescribe nursing and dietary care and apply required preventive measures.
•Consult with Surgery and OB/Gyn for in- and out-patients as assigned or required.
•Provide pediatric consultative services to other medical services and provide on-call emergency coverage for pediatric emergencies.

Key Requirements

•Graduate of an approved medical school with a valid license to practice medicine.
•Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics or equivalent U.K. certification (Member of the Royal College of Physicians (PAEDS)).
•At least 3 years as a full-time pediatrician after residency training.
•Current licensure in country of origin and a DHA license to practice in Dubai, U.A.E.
•Excellent oral and written English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable (not essential).
