Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct investigations, interviews, and inspections of damage within the assigned territory; prepare estimates and address coverage questions.
  • •Set and maintain reserves, review claim materials, determine claim value, and issue or decline payment as appropriate.
  • •Document claim files and submit reports for closure; recognize subrogation situations and initiate action.
  • •Negotiate claims with plaintiff attorneys when necessary and represent the company at legal proceedings when required.
  • •Service the assigned territory to bring claims to conclusion; complete ongoing training, assist in training new adjusters, and participate on the Catastrophe Team when required.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent for Property Adjuster Trainee; other levels require specified combinations of GED/diploma and claims handling experience or a Bachelor’s degree.
  • •Willingness to pursue and complete required training (including Technical Learning Center training).
  • •Willingness to obtain and maintain any required licenses.
  • •Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
  • •Must live in the assigned territory (Rutherford County in TN and/or surrounding areas), unless approved otherwise by the company.
