Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and execute the technical vision and standards for GCP data engineering, including modern data modeling, ingestion, lakehouse architectures, and FinOps cost optimization.
  • •Oversee end-to-end design and deployment of enterprise data platforms on core GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataplex, and Cloud Storage.
  • •Partner with Data Science and AI to build production-grade pipelines and GenAI infrastructure, including vector search and RAG frameworks using Gemini/Vertex AI and BigQuery ML.
  • •Lead GCP-native data governance and security implementations, including lineage, row/column access control, and metadata management through Knowledge Catalog and IAM.
  • •Manage, mentor, and scale an agile team of GCP Data Engineers, driving recruiting, skill development, certification pathways, and performance management.

Key Requirements

  • •Define and execute a technical vision for GCP data engineering, including data modeling, ingestion pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and cloud cost optimization (FinOps).
  • •10+ years in data engineering and enterprise architecture, with 5+ years of direct people management experience leading agile engineering teams.
  • •4+ years hands-on designing and building production data solutions natively on Google Cloud (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage).
  • •Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience deploying pipelines for LLMs, vector search, and GenAI workflows using frameworks like Apache Beam and PySpark.
  • •Experience implementing GCP data governance and security (data lineage, row/column access control, IAM/Knowledge Catalog), plus CI/CD and Terraform-based infrastructure.
