Job Summary

Lead technical aspects of complex sales cycles, partnering with sales to drive RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs through RFP technical closure. Support POCs with internal teams and customers/partners, translate customer requirements into competitive Fortinet solutions, and serve as primary technical contact. Continuously deepen product, security, and competitive knowledge, present technical materials (whiteboarding/white papers/plans), manage multiple deals, and maintain accurate CRM activity in Salesforce.

•Lead technical aspects of sales cycles from RFIs through RFPs/RFQs, including project management and active participation in POCs.
•Understand customer technical requirements and build competitive solutions that outperform alternative offerings.
•Act as primary technical point of contact for customers and partners in close collaboration with sales.
•Position Fortinet solutions remotely or in person using communication and technical presentation materials.
•Maintain accurate CRM activity, contacts, and account technical information while managing multiple deals.

•High aptitude for security technology, including encryption and authentication, with desirable knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN, and WAN.
•Experience in a pre-sales engineer role managing end-to-end technical aspects of deals through technical closure.
•Demonstrated problem-solving skills with impact on key wins.
•Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
•Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPsec, firewalls, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES.
