Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop numerical simulations and advance thermomechanical simulation methodologies for helicopter power transmission components.
  • •Create and maintain simulation tools and updates to support the research work.
  • •Operate element-level or real-scale gearbox trials as part of the research activities.
  • •Define element-level tests to complete or refine models when needed.
  • •Work under a tutor while contributing to the ETITA team’s mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal analysis efforts.

Key Requirements

  • •BAC+8-level training in tribology and applied thermal sciences for power transmission mechanical assemblies for a 3-year PhD contract.
  • •Strong fundamentals in solid mechanics and fluid mechanics.
  • •Knowledge of heat transfer and thermodynamics.
  • •Experience with numerical simulation tools such as Excel/VBA, CFD software (e.g., Particle Works), and system simulation tools (Simcenter Amesim, Samcef).
  • •Team spirit and the ability to take initiative, with advanced English and current French.
