Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee and manage the regulatory compliance framework and compliance programs for Western Alliance Bank and affiliated entities.
  • •Provide end-to-end oversight of the bank’s Compliance Management System (CMS) and ensure compliance programs remain robust and functional.
  • •Lead second-line independent oversight and guidance to ensure products, services, and processes meet regulatory requirements.
  • •Advise on new and/or revised strategies, initiatives, and projects, including risk challenge and mitigation recommendations.
  • •Coordinate with senior leaders and participate in corporate risk committees to inform compliance posture, trends, and emerging risks; lead and develop the compliance team.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of related experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, or a similar field.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Masters or MBA preferred.
  • •Previous leadership experience required and ability to lead and develop a team.
  • •Expert knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations, bank lending policies and procedures, and the bank’s products and services.
  • •Expert speaking and writing communication skills; must be both strategic and hands-on while managing multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
