Job Summary

Support civil design projects for power, industrial, and municipal clients across the Southeast. Execute calculations, design options, reports, agency reviews, and construction drawings covering erosion and sediment control, SPCC plans, hydraulics/hydrology, grading, and landfill design/closure. Coordinate with engineering staff, stakeholders, and other disciplines, assist with proposals and permitting, and prepare client-ready reports. Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Participate on small to medium project design teams.
•Assist with scope of work and costing documents for proposals.
•Coordinate with engineering staff, lead junior team members, project stakeholders, and other disciplines for organized project execution.
•Perform professional civil engineering work including erosion and sediment control, SPCC, site grading, hydraulics, hydrologic analyses, and stormwater management facilities.
•Prepare construction drawings and specifications; assist with permit applications, agency comments, and client-ready reports and drawings.

Key Requirements

•Minimum Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
•Fundamentals of Engineering registration in North Carolina, or ability to obtain within one year.
•3-5 years of professional engineering experience.
•Valid state driver’s license and must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
•Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
